Sania Mirza has won her first match at the Hong Kong Champions Challenge.
She and Kim Clijsters teamed up to beat Venus and Serena 8-7 in a doubles match.
The tournament is an exhibition event featuring eight top players in the world including Lindsay Davenport.
Sania is due to play in the singles on Thursday against Venus Williams. The 19-year-old who has just had a coaching stint with Tony Roche looked solid with her ground strokes but had a few problems with her volleying as usual.
