Sania’s popularity swells despite US Open loss



NEW DEHLI: The popularity of Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza is soaring despite her loss at the US Open.

Sania’s fans are relived that their heroine reached the fourth round of the tournament. The Indian star was successful in clearing the first three rounds but was unable to beat superstar Maria Sherapova in the pre quarterfinals.

In spite of the loss Sania became the first Indian woman to reach the quarterfinal of the US Open. Sania’s mother Naseem Mirza has said that Sania has displayed a superb performance in the US Open and her performance cannot be dubbed as disappointing.

She expressed the hope that the performance graph of Sania Mirza would surge next year.
