Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today announced Rs 20 lakh to tennis sensation Sania Mirza in recognition of her ''excellent performance'' in the US Open tennis championship in New York.
''Sania definitely has a great future'', he remarked.
Stating that his Government was committed to encourage young talent in sports in a big way, the Chief Minister wished that Sania would bring many more laurels to the country in the years to come and make Hyderabadis very proud with her outstanding performances, according to a release from the Chief Minister's Office.
